Assumptions & Notes

  • • SSAG ranges are advisory only — courts have full discretion under FLA s.33
  • • Without-child: 1.5–2% × gross income difference × years, capped at 50% of difference
  • • With-child: NDI differential — payor retains 46–54% of combined NDI pool
  • • Tax estimated at flat 25% marginal rate for NDI purposes
  • • Duration: ½ to 1 year per year of cohabitation
  • Rule of 65: if payor age + years of marriage ≥ 65, support may be indefinite
  • • Indefinite support if marriage ≥ 20 years (subject to review)
